ATOL Protection

Sportif Dive are a fully bonded ATOL Tour operator and therefore we have a duty of care and financial security in place to protect your dive holiday booking and monies paid to us. Many companies selling holidays do not have this level of bonding and if you book elements of your diving holiday separately you will not be protected in the event of a company or airline collapses.

ATOL is a licensing scheme for travel companies which is operated by the UK's Civil Aviation Authority.

ATOL regularly carries out financial checks on the travel companies it licenses every year.

If you book a complete holiday with a FULLY BONDED ATOL travel company, like Sportif Dive, you will be protected. Some companies only provide a part protection ie that they will refund you if they go out of business but do not have the same obligations as an ATOL licensed travel company. An ATOL licensed company is responsible for each component of your holiday. If there is a problem with one of them, before you go or when you're away, they must sort it out and provide you with help and assistance. Be sure to check the cover you have.

Beware....

If you build your own holiday and book direct with an airline or hotel you won't be protected.

If you book your flights and hotel separately online, it may be cheaper, but your holiday and money will be at risk if one of the companies providing the componentscollapses. You could be left with holiday accommodation and no flight to get there, or be stranded abroad.
