Layang Layang Dive Centre - Layang Layang (Malaysia), Far East & Australia
The isolated diving island resort of Layang Layang, commonly known as "The Jewels of the Borneo Banks" is located off the coast of Sabah in Malaysia. This island atol rises from 2000m with surrounding coral reefs, spectacular diving scenery, huge fans, deep sea atolls and big fish action, including hammerheads it really has it all!
Location
Layang Layang Dive centre is based at the Layang Layang Resort in Malaysia, located 300km north west of Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia.
Facilities
The PADI dive centre is equipped with Bauer KAP 180 compressors, 80 cu ft aluminium tanks, and BCDs and regulators, masks, fins, booties, weights and belts available to rent. Catamaran dive boats brings divers from the resorts jetty to the sites within 10-20 minutes.
Diving
As many as 13 coral reefs have formed here which gives amazing underwater scenery and an average visability of between 30-60 meters year round. There is a huge drop off 2,000m down to the sea floor with a spectacular and varied ecosystem. The area here has a combination of deep water, pristine walls and great coral gardens which provides a variety of sea life from pelagics to colourful tropical fish.
Dive Courses
PADI dive courses available include Discover Scuba, both in the lagoon and the sea, Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and Divemaster. Courses should be requested and booked in advance to ensure availability.

Dive Packages
Packages are quoted including diving. Additional dives are chargeable as follows and includes boat transfers to and from the dive site, weights and tanks but does not include equipment.
