Kenya

Kenya’s tropical coast boasts over 300 miles of white sand beaches. The bustling island town of Mombasa is connected to the mainland by bridge and ferry and overlooks a wide harbour where commercial shipping mingles with traditional sailing dhows. Kenya’s reefs have suffered in the past from bad fishing and diving practices, however the situation has greatly improved with the introduction of mooring buoys and Marine Parks. Marine life is excellent with many good dive sites including wrecks, walls, reefs and drift dives. Kenya also offers the opportunity to view the spectacular wildlife while on a safari.

The lodge overlooks a water hole and is set against the spectacular backdrop of the Sagala Hills, only 2.5 hours drive from Mombasa. Once home to the infamous 'man eating lions of Tsavo' who preyed on men constructing the railway line between Mombasa and Kampala, the sanctuary and surrounding national park are best known today for their fantastic variety of wildlife.

Return to Ngutuni Lodge for dinner. During the evening watch animals emerge from the bush and drink at the softly illuminated water hole. Overnight stay at Ngutuni Lodge.

Day 2 Early morning game drive in Ngutuni's private 10,000 acre game sanctuary. This is the perfect time to see animals foraging for food before the heat of the day sets in.
