Located 25 miles off the East Coast of Tanzania. the archipelago is made up of Zanzibar and Pemba islands, and several islets. Zanzibar is approx 60 miles long by 20 miles wide and is best characterised by the beautiful sandy beaches with fringing coral reefs that run for miles on its rugged coastline. Zanzibar offers truly world class diving including the renowned Mnemba Atoll and Levan Banks with numerous reef, wall and wreck dives around the island. The is an excellent variety of coral with regular sightings of turtles, rays, tuna, Napoleon wrasse, large groupers and reef sharks. The deeper waters are host to whale shark and dolphins (usually Mar, Aug & Sep). Zanzibar offers excellent diving for divers of all levels with many reefs still left to be explored.

A PADI 5* Gold Palm National Geographic centre based at Breezes Beach Club & Spa Resort. Professional diving operation established over 11 years ago with qualified instructors, personal service and diving in small groups. The east cost offers untouched reefs with a great variety of marine life and dive spots. Possible encounters with big oceanic fish, rays, turtles, sharks, grouper, barracuda, eels and even humpback and sperm whales. Gentle coral slopes starting at 8m descending to 20 m are ideal for relaxed long dives and macro photography. There are also drop-offs and walls from 23m -40 m. It is not unusual to be surrounded on the surface by dolphins which live in large pods and hunt along the east coast.

Breezes Beach Club & Spa

Location: This charming and romantic family-owned resort is set on a pristine and peaceful east coast beach approx one hour from Stone Town and the airport.

Accomodation: 70 comfortable rooms tastefully furnished in a relaxed Zanzibar style , in two-story buildings sprinkled in lush gardens, with double or twin beds, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, fridge, safe, sofa and ensuite shower & wc. Standard Rooms are ground floor set back from the beach with terrace. Deluxe rooms as standard but closer proximity to the sea. Junior Suites are on the upper floor with larger bathroom and large balcony with sunbeds.
