Located in the heart of the Banda Sea off the south east coast of Sulawesi lies the remote and exclusive resort of Wakatobi. Blessed with the planet’s most pristine and prolific tropical reefs, the resort offers easy access to breath-taking drop-offs, walls, caverns and seamounts. Wakatobi is a resort built by divers for divers on what Jacques Cousteau called “probably the finest diving site in the world”. It features lionfish, clownfish, rays, batfish, crocodile fish, ghost pipefish, several species of pygmy seahorse, schooling jacks, turtles, mandarin fish, leaf fish and the elusive blue-ringed octopus to name just a few. Brilliant soft corals, oversized gorgonians and vibrant sponges create an intricate tapestry of colour and texture. At night, the resort’s famous four mile long House Reef explodes into a flurry of activity. Pelagian, Wakatobi’s luxury dive yacht operates from the resort, cruising the outer reefs and surrounding atolls of the Wakatobi archipelago.

Location: On a beautiful tropical island beach in the remote and peaceful Wakatobi archipelago in the Banda Sea and reached by private charter flight (2.5 hrs) from Bali.

Accomodation: An intimate, eco-friendly luxury resort with 26 spacious and elegantly furnished bungalows and villas all with air-conditioning, a kingsize or twin beds, desk with internet access, mini-bar, safe, en-suite shower & wc and balcony with lounge chairs. Garden Bungalows are just behind the beach bungalows with garden views. Beach Bungalows are directly on the beach with superb sea views. Select Beach Bungalows have a huge porch with comfortable lounge beds and private outdoor shower. Villas are more luxurious and spacious offering secluded privacy, one even has it’s own infinity pool!

Facilities: The Restaurant offers a premier dining experience with first class service in a relaxed yet elegant setting, serving an international blend of Indonesian delicacies with dishes from around the world, 3 bars, spa, boutique and dive centre.

Diving: Unlimited beach diving and three boat dives per day tank/weights are included.

Diving: Pelagian Liveaboard

Liveaboard (7 nights)

Wed Depart UK on overnight flight to Denpasar, Bali.
Thu Met on arrival and transfer to your Bali hotel for overnight.
Fri Morning transfer to the domestic airport terminal where Wakatobi staff are waiting to assist with check-in for your charter flight to Wakatobi. Met and transfer to Pelagian Liveaboard for seven nights.
Sat-Thu Enjoy six days diving with up to four dives per day, cruising the outer reefs and surrounding atolls of the Wakatobi archipelago.
Fri Return to Wakatobi and disembark. Transfer to the airstrip for charter flight to Bali to connect with your international flight back to the UK.

Note: 7, 10, 11 and 14 night liveaboard durations available on selected departure dates. Itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and vessel location.

Location: A 36 m luxury liveaboard built to a very high standard originally as an ocean-cruising personal yacht.

Accomodation: A maximum of 10 guests in five comfortable cabins each with en-suite shower & wc, storage and individual control air-conditioning. Standard cabin has twin beds. Deluxe has a double and single bed. Superlux are more spacious with a queensize and single daybed. Master is the largest and most comfortable cabin with a queensize bed and sofa sitting area.

Facilities: Air-conditioned throughout. Spacious dive deck with hot showers, covered outdoor decks and sundeck, multiple lounges and dining spaces. The onboard cuisine is prepared to the same high standard as the resort with chefs taking turns between Pelagian and Wakatobi.

Diving: Two 18ft custom-built rib dive tenders are used for all dives and are equipped with dual outboards, tank racks and secure ladders for easy entry and exit. Usually four dives per day tank/weights. Nitrox and rebreathers available.
