Learn to Dive

When you take your first steps into diving it is important you chose the right location and a professional centre that will ensure your diving is safe and enjoyable. All ofour centres are staffed by fully qualified professionals, with many years experience in teaching those new to diving. We offer a range of courses and taster sessions to allow you to go at your own pace. Or if you wish to fast track, we can help you take part of the theory and even some of the qualifying dives before you travel; maximizing the time you have in resort to enjoy the spectacular diving that awaits.

We have an experienced dive instructor on our team who can answer all your questions and help you find the right course and location for you.

The first stage arriving at your dive centre in resort is to take first steps in the classroom, where you will learn the theory side of diving. Once completed, youcan use the centre’s training pool to get accustomed to the dive equipment and the sensation of being underwater. Wherever you are on your PADI Open Water coursethe Instructors will take you at your own pace and not rush you, you will get as much help and assistance as you need as the most important factor in learning to dive issafety.

Where is the best place to learn?

Sportif recommend you learn to dive in the Red Sea on a land based holiday as the conditions, climate and facilities are arguably the best in the world and the choice ofdestinations and dive centres is huge. All of the centres we offer are associated to PADI and have staff qualified to take you from your first steps into the water up to Dive Master and even PADI Instructor courses.

You can also learn to dive in other places like the Caribbean, Mexico or even the tropical island of Palau in Micronesia. Every resort is different and courses are often structured to allow you time to enjoy other activities and also relaxing on your holiday.

If you wish to save time in your resort, you could complete your theory and even some of your qualifying dives before you arrive. With online training through PADIyou can do this at your own pace. Alternatively, PADI authorized centre can cover the theory with you in a classroom environment and sometimes qualifying dives can even be taken before you go.

Can I save time by studying before I go?

If you wish to save time in resort you are able complete your theory and even some of your qualifying dives before you go. Study at home through PADI’s e-learningfacility. Some qualifying dives can even be taken at your local PADI dive centre allowing your more time in your resort to enjoy your recreational dives. read more >

What Junior diving courses are available?

Children from the ages of 8 years can start with a Bubblemaker course. At 10 years a child can take the PADI Junior Open Water course with certification to dive to 12meters. Once 12 years old, a child can take the full PADI Junior Open Water course allowing them to dive to 18 meters when accompanied by a full accredited instructoror qualified diving parent or guardian. read more >
