Learn to Dive
When looking for a learn to scuba dive holiday it is important you chose the right location and a professional centre that will ensure your diving is safe and enjoyable. All of our centres are staffed by fully qualified professionals, with many years experience in teaching those new to diving. On a Sportif diving holiday, you can pre book a range of courses and taster sessions to allow you to go at your own pace. Or if you wish to fast track, we can help you take part of the theory and even some of the qualifying dives before you travel by elearning courses; maximizing the time you have in resort to enjoy the spectacular diving that awaits.

Learn to Dive on Holiday
The first stage arriving at your dive centre in resort is to take first steps in the classroom, where you will learn the theory side of diving. Once completed, you can use the centre’s training pool to get accustomed to the dive equipment and the sensation of being underwater. Where you are on your PADI Open Water course, the Instructors will take you at your own pace and not rush you, you will get as much help and assistance as you need as the most important factor in learning to dive is safety.
Where is the Best Place to Learn?
Sportif recommend you learn to dive in gentle conditions in the Canary Islands, Red Sea, Caribbean, Indian Ocean, Far East or the Maldives on a land based holiday. You will be able to stay in the comfort of a hotel and take or theory and practical lessons in pool and in the sea close by. All of the centres have staff qualified to take you from your first steps into the water up to Dive Master and or Instructor level courses with the leading diving association such as PADI, BSAC, SSI and CMAS.
You can also learn to dive in other locations further afield such as the tropical islands such as Bali, Palau in Micronesia. We can recommend locations that combine a great holiday location and top quality diving facilities. Every resort is different and courses are often structured to allow you time to enjoy other activities and also relax.
If you wish to save time in your resort, you could complete your theory and even some of your qualifying dives before you arrive. With online training through PADI you can do this at your own pace. Alternatively, PADI authorized centre can cover the theory with you in a classroom environment and sometimes qualifying dives can even be taken before you go.

Can I save time by studying before I go?
If you wish to save time in resort you are able complete your theory and even some of your qualifying dives before you go. Study at home through PADI’s e-learningfacility. Some qualifying dives can even be taken at your local PADI dive centre allowing your more time in your resort to enjoy your recreational dives. More >
What Junior diving courses are available?
Children from the ages of 8 years can start with a Bubblemaker course. At 10 years a child can take the PADI Junior Open Water course with certification to dive to 12 meters. Once 12 years old, a child can take the full PADI Junior Open Water course allowing them to dive to 18 meters when accompanied by a full accredited instructoror qualified diving parent or guardian.
