Location: Approximately 30 minutes north from Mombasa International airport and  on the white sands of Bamburi Beach with 23 acres of landscaped gardens featuring colourful bouganvillea and frangipani and Palm trees.

Accommodation: The hotel has 338 rooms with pool, garden or sea views on three floor buildings. There are 5 categories of room and suite: Standard Rooms with three specially equipped rooms for those requiring wheelchair access. Palm Rooms are situated around the Palms pool or Sea Front rooms with sea views. Executive Suites, most with ocean views have either one or two bedroom suites with ensuite bathrooms and good for groups or families. Two Presidential Suites are set in a private location on a secluded island overlooking the Palms pool with two master bedrooms with King and Queen size beds, ensuite bathrooms and jacuzzi in addition to a  lounge with attached kitchenette and fully stocked bar. Exclusive parking is available nearby and a butler is assigned and available around the clock.

Each room has a private balcony and pool or sea view, Satellite TV, tea/coffee facilities and hair dryers, mosquito net over each bed, air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, wireless internet connection, ensuite bathroom with bath, shower and WC. Voltage of 240 volts and 50 cycle razor outlets operating on both 220 and 240 volts.

Facilities: There are two restaurants for buffet style dining, a bistro cafe offers pizzas and light meals and snacks, a la carte seafood grill, a choice of three bars including a beach bar and nightclub, Coco's. Four outdoor swimming pools offer a choice of waterslides and diving boards.
The Tulia Spa with an outdoor ocean-view provides massage bandas, massage rooms, outdoor Jacuzzi, reflexology pool, steam and sauna, Ayurvedic, Western and Oriental treatments. For families the children's club offers organised entertainment. Other activities include floodlit tennis court and a fully equipped gym.

Tsavo Safari (1 night) from £149

Ngutuni is an authentic safari lodge located in the heart of a private game sanctuary, surrounded on three sides by Tsavo East National Park. The lodge overlooks a water hole and is set against the spectacular backdrop of the Sagala Hills, only 2.5 hours drive from Mombasa. Once home to the infamous 'man eating lions of Tsavo' who preyed on men constructing the railway line between Mombasa and Kampala, the sanctuary and surrounding national park are best known today for their fantastic variety of wildlife.

Day 1 Morning departure from your beach hotel and drive to Tsavo East National Park. Game drive and continue to Ngutuni Lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive in search of lion, elephant, buffalo, eland, giraffe, zebra, kudu and possibly rhino. Return to Ngutuni Lodge for dinner. During the evening watch animals emerge from the bush and drink at the softly illuminated water hole.
Overnight stay at Ngutuni Lodge.

Day 2 Early morning game drive in Ngutuni's private 10,000 acre game sanctuary. This is the perfect time to see animals foraging for food before the heat of the day sets in. Return to the lodge for breakfast where we hope to enjoy the sight of elephant and buffalo drinking at the water hole. After a leisurely breakfast check out and return to Mombasa, arriving around noon. Drop off at your beach hotel.
