The Cape Verde archipelago consists of 11 volcanic islands, the flattest of these being Sal where vast expanses of white sand form the stark landscape. With the introduction of direct flights from UK, Cabo Verde is now transforming a previously barren land, covered only in salt flats, into a fast growing diving and watersports paradise.

The " spice island " of Zanzibar in Tanzania is a wonderfull mixture of deserted beaches along its coastline and a maze of narrow streets in the islands capital, Stone Town. If you are looking for untouched reefs, big encounters and deserted beached then you must go to Zanzibar.
