Zanzibar, Africa

Located 25 miles off the East Coast of Tanzania. the archipelago is made up of Zanzibar and Pemba islands, and several islets. Zanzibar is approx 60 miles long by 20 miles wide and is best characterised by the beautiful sandy beaches with fringing coral reefs that run for miles on its rugged coastline. Zanzibar offers truly world class diving including the renowned Mnemba Atoll and Levan Banks with numerous reef, wall and wreck dives around the island. The is an excellent variety of coral with regular sightings of turtles, rays, tuna, Napoleon wrasse, large groupers and reef sharks. The deeper waters are host to whale shark and dolphins (usually Mar, Aug & Sep). Zanzibar offers excellent diving for divers of all levels with many reefs still left to be explored.
