Cyprus is located in the eastern Mediterranean, just off the coast of Turkey, is known for its history and heritage, which can be enjoyed both above and below the water. With clear warm waters year round, locations around the island provide ideal sites and conditions for divers that are just starting out to the most advanced. The most popular dive sites are found at towns along the south coast such as; Larnaca, Paphos and Limassol.
The diving experience in Cyprus is so diverse, with wrecks, caves, tunnels and reefs diving available. Warm crystal clear water provides perfect conditions, from March to November, to dive in and explore everything that Cyprus has to offer. When in between dives, you can explore the beauty of the local towns, visit historical sites or relax by the beach. Our partner dive centres are PADI or BSAC centres some technical and instructor development centres, with experienced instructors offering a range of courses and boat diving with whole boat charters for groups available on request. Recommended training for experienced divers is PADI Deep Diver and PADI Wreck Diver for diving will allow you to access deeper wrecks around the island. The guides will accompany you on all dives from vast wrecks and caves or when investigating the local marine life. The rocky shore lines around the Island provide an idea home for crustaceans and octopus, with Logger head turtles also being regular visitors. When diving at a reserve off the Coast of Paphos, near Akrotiri, divers will will have the opportunity to spot moray eels, bream, bass and groupers, ideal for underwater photographers.
Culture and Activities
There is a large and welcoming British and Cypriot diving community who will make you feel right at home and immerse you in the rich Cypriot culture. Relax on the island and enjoy the local cuisine. Located in and around all of the Cypriot towns are museums, medieval castles and art galleries so you can explore the local culture and history when not diving. Wine-making has been a part of Cypriot life throughout history, allowing you to enjoy the local trade and the chance to visit ancient vineyards. Watersports including SUP, kitesurfing, sailing, tennis, golf and windsurfing are available at different locations around the south and west coast.
