Safaga, Red Sea & Egypt

A small, peaceful and informal resort on the northern edge of a perfect crescent sandy bay, sweeping some five miles across crystal waters. Along the length of this stunning beach are various hotels, with the Hotel Shams and Imperial Shams at the best locations. Safaga is a small town dominated by the nearby busy trading port. The nearest major town is Hurghada, approximately half and hour by road away. Diving is centred around Safaga Island. The reef diving off Safaga is of the highest quality primarily due to excellent conservation work and the fact that the reefs are a good distance from the shore. There is also the wreck of Salem Express and the infamous Brother Islands to be explored.
