Safaga Dive Centre - Safaga, Red Sea and Middle East

The centre is situated on the beach, next to the marina at the Hotel Shams. The multi-lingual staff members guide and monitor all diving activities. PADI courses from beginner to dive master and children’s courses are available. The centre provides a friendly atmosphere in a great beach location.

Location
Located on the beach of the Shams Hotels, the centre is approximately 60km south of Hurghada, around a 45 minute transfer from the airport. The centre is ocated directly on the beach of the Shams Hotel, a short walk to the jetty.

Open
Year round, 7 days a week from 8am to 6pm.

Facilities & Services
The centres facilities include a reception, classroom, dry-room, where you can clean and store your equipment during your stay (although the centre do not take any responsibility for your equipment security), two fresh water pools, equipment room, workshop, compressor and tanks room, terrace and bar. The centres boats are located at the Hotel Shams Marina, directly on the beach and are equipped with VHF-Radio, oxygen and a MFA-box. The hotel can arrange nannies to look after your children in the hotel's kid's club while you are diving. The nearby terrace and bar is a good place relax after the day's diving.

Diving
There is a house reef just 50m from the beach which directly accessible from the centre. Dive trips are available to Shaab Quais, Abu Kafan, Panorama Reef, Shaab Saiman and Seven pillars which take between 20 and 90 minutes by boat.

Dive Packages
Daily boat diving is available as morning, half day or full day boat dives. Night dives, early morning dives, shore reef dives and guided house reef dives are available as well as boat and snorkel trips for non divers. Private and group guides are available by arrangement.

Please note: There is a local reef tax of €3 per person per day payable locally.

PLEASE NOTE
Red Sea diving packages - A government tax fee of minimum 3.00 Euro, per diver per diving day and per snorkel per day on board of a boat, is payable locally on arrival before diving/snorkelling can commence. All rental equipment must be booked and confirmed in advanced with additional payment to your diving package. Please bring your passport along with you for Red Sea boat diving to present to the Captain of the dive boat, as per local Government regulations. Lunch on day boat dives is not included and payable locally. The above fees can change without notice and will be confirmed at the dive centre on arrival.

 
Dive Courses
Courses available include: PADI Bubble Maker. Seal Team, Discover Scuba Diving, PADI Open Water Diver Advanced Courses including Scuba Review, Adventure Diver, Rescue Diver, Master Scuba diver and Emergency First Response. Also Deep Diver, Night Diver, Drift Diver, Wreck Diver, Underwater Navitagor, Underwater Photographer, Search and Recovery, PPB and Nitorox specialism courses. PADI Divemaster is possible. All should be booked in advance of arrival to ensure availability.
 

Courses include use of equipment. Certification fee and PADI manual are payable locally.
