Junior Diving
Bubblemaker Course
Introducing diving to children has never been easier. Specially training staffed can introduce diving with a Bubblemaker course from 8 years. This is designed for children who are confident in the water and allow them to dive up to a depth of 2 metres/6 feet. Children should be able to swim in shallow water, be completely comfortable in water and have their parents authority to take part. The Course is designed for fun with safety paramount and a PADI qualified instructor supervising at all times. Lessons are around 1-2 hours, will introduce the junior diver to how the equipment works and gives the opportunity of swimming underwater with an instructor at their side. If they enjoy the experience, children aged between 10 and 14 years may then move onto the Junior Open Water course.
Seal Team
For your, junior divers and children who love being in the water, Seal Team activities take place is selected centres on specific dates, to bring some action packed fun on their holiday. Planned activities take place in the swimming pool at the resort, with the parents permission. Children will need to be minimum 8 years and do not need prior scuba diving experience. AquaMissions activities are designed to introduce the children to basic scuba diving skills such as buoyance, navigation, awareness of the environment with fun activities that incorporate breathing underwater, mask clearing and swimming underwater. Your child will meet new friends, enjoy cool activities and be on their way to enjoying the world of sub aqua whilst building confidence. Equipment used includes a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, dive guages and a tank, all with the supervision of a qualified PADI Seal team leader who is a qualified PADI instructor.
Junior Open Water
Children from 10 years are able to complete the PADI Open Water certification course. They will need to be accompanied either by a PADI professionally qualified diver or a certified parent or guardian. The maximum depth for dives is restricted to 12m/40 feet. Junior Open Water divers aged between 12 and 14 years of age must dive with an adult with full diving certification to Open Water level. Prices, course programme and content may vary slightly from centre to centre.
