Red Sea and Middle East - Liveaboards

A Red Sea scuba diving holiday offers some of the most amazing dive conditions year round for all types of diving - both shore based, boat diving or on one of our specially selected liveaboards. Red Sea dive holidays offer the best value and are perfect for non-divers too.

Egypt is the Land of the Pharaohs, with abundant historical sites to visit and is the perfect paradise for year round diving holidays. The choice of hotels is vast and there is something to suit all tastes and budgets. Why not explore some of the ancient sites with an excursion to see the Pyramids or Tuthankhaun’s tomb in the Valley of the Kings.

The crystal clear warm water and some of the best and most established dive centres in the world to choose from, make Egypt a wonderful experience for both first timers and annual ‘pilgrims’ alike. Each destination offers it own special character and variety of diving.

Red Sea Emperor Elite Liveaboard - Red Sea Liveaboards, Red Sea and Middle East

For your diving and liveaboard holiday to the Red Sea, Egypt, the MV Elite is a luxury Red Sea Liveabord sailing from Hurghada and Marsa Ghilib Port. The liveaboard offers several scuba diving itineraries including Simply the Best and South & St Johns, Reefs and Wrecks and Just Brothers.

Location
The liveaboard sails from Hurghada Port and Marsa Ghilib Port. Transfers to Hurghada Port are approximately 20 minutes from Hurghada airport and hotels and tranfers to Marsa Ghilib Port are approximately 20 minutes from Marsa Alam airport and hotels.

Accommodation
MY Elite is a 38 metre boat accommodating a maximum of 24 guests in 11 twin-berth cabins and a double master suite, all with ensuite, air conditioning, flat screen TV with media player and two towels per guest.

Facilities
Free Wi-Fi (available where there is a signal), three sundecks, dive deck with platform, jacuzzi/hot tub, two air-conditioned salons and air-conditioned dining room where good food and free wine with dinner is served. She has all the diving and safety equipment including two large RIBs with outboards and is also equipped with NITROX and can handle tech diving on request.

Dive the Best Top 3 sites in this area: Big and Little Brothers, Daedalus Reef and Elphinstone.

The Brother Islands are the pinnacles of two undersea mountains rising from the depths of the abyss and are located about 60 miles offshore. They attract a diverse array of marine species and large pelagics. Large tuna, jacks and snappers cruise in the blue, accompanied by occasional hammerheads, silvertips, silky and oceanic white tip sharks and mantas. Even the rare thresher shark can be found here. Sightings of the grey reef shark are almost guaranteed on the North and South Plateaux of Small Brother.

Daedalus Reef, also part of the Marine Park, is a large, oval reef with a lighthouse and is the furthest offshore reef in the Egyptian Red Sea. Its deep walls and drop-offs offer some of the most spectacular diving to be found. Daedalus has mountainous, pristine, hard coral formations. There is also a strong chance of spotting schooling hammerheads and grey reef sharks.

Elphinstone, with its sheer walls covered in soft corals, offers a likely encounter with oceanic white tip sharks.

All charters are subject to change

Sportif requires that you have 30 logged dives to dive in the Marine Parks and you are expected to be able to complete each dive with your buddy or following the guide.
