Sportif Dive and the Trinidad and Tobago Tourist Authority are offering Sports Diver and Sportdiver.co.uk readers the chance to win a fantastic diving holiday for two to Tobago in the Caribbean.

Trinidad and sister island Tobago offer visitors the chance to see the true Caribbean and enjoy a unique experience like no other. The islands are rich in history, culture and biodiversity with Tobago offering outstanding diving with a choice of sites in the north and south of the island. Professional dive operators, a variety of quality accommodation and much to see and do allow you to enjoy the perfect holiday.

Tobago is a premier eco-tourism destination. Having won several prestigious international awards, the island spectacular natural landscapes, where you can hike to rainforest waterfalls or relax on sun drenched sandy beaches. The Main Ridge Forest Reserve was the first declared protected rainforest in 1776. With 6000 species of plants and animals, including rare birds and leatherback turtle nesting sites, the island has kept the preservation of its natural habitats as a priority, for the enjoyment of all.

Diving in Tobago is unique due to the rich and colourful reefs. With 300 species of South Atlantic coral and more than 600 species of fish with regular sitings of very rare species, the island offers a choice of diving sites for all levels of diver.

Gentle sites, with pretty reefs are perfect for Learn to Dive and building experience. The island is also internationally recognized for its exciting drift dives, dramatic underwater topography and regular sitings of Mantas, Giant Sea Turtles and Hammerhead Sharks in season. The wreck of the Maverick provides an easily accessible dive lying between 18-30m. There are many opportunities for photographers and technical divers are well catered for. This island truly offers diving for everyone.
 

Flights are provided by British Airways which flies twice weekly - Thursdays and Saturdays - from London Gatwick to Tobago. 

The competition offers the winners a super Twin Centre holiday, starting with 4 nights at the Blue Waters Inn, at Speyside in the North of the island. The hotel sits on a picture perfect Batteaux Bay with 46 acres of tropical gardens. The Reefers Restaurant and Bar serving specializing in locally sourced produce and specialties and you can enjoy meals and refreshments overlooking the beach.  Newly refurbished rooms and apartments offer high quality stylish accommodation; a true haven to relax in.
 
 

Established in 1994, the AquaMarine Dive centre is minutes from the hotel. Set next to its private jetty this PADI 5* Gold Palm facility offers a range of courses, high quality equipment and a personal dive service. This highly professional centre that can accommodate the needs of all types of diver and levels of certification. A choice of over 30 dive sites, some within minutes including the world’s largest brain coral colony.  A 3 day dive pack is offered as part of the prize including tanks & weights.
 
      
        
 
For the second part of the week, you will be transferred to Crown Point on the south of the island. Here you will stay for 3 nights courtesy of the luxury Coco Reef Resort & Spa Hotel, located close to the Capital of Scarborough  with its local markets and 15 minutes from the National Heritage park  at Pigeon Point.  As Tobago's premier beachfront hotel on the south of the island, sitting on ten acres of manicured tropical gardens, it provides the ultimate Caribbean vacation in a casually elegant setting.
 

     

The onsite diver centre Undersea Tobago, is run by husband and wife Team Derek and Evelyn Cheung, being one of the most establish and experienced dive centre’s on the island. They provide dive charters and PADI tuition, high quality equipment and service from start to finish. In May 1999 they became the first operators providing Enriched Air Nitrox. Pioneering junior diving on the island, their SASY programme allows children to enjoy their first underwater experiences.
 
All arrangements for the winners holiday will be made by Sportif Dive.

Terms of Competition:
The prize includes return World Traveller flights on British Airways from London Gatwick, airport transfers in Tobago, 4 nights at the Blue Waters Inn Speyside in a standard room on twin share, half board basis and  3 days' diving pack, tanks, weights  with Aqua Marine Dive for two persons. Transfer to Coco Reef Resort Hotel, 3 nights on BB basis plus ’ 3 days' diving pack, tanks, weights with Undersea Tobago for two persons. Transport to the UK airport, hire of diving equipment, additional food and drinks and travel insurance are not included.

The closing date for the competition is midnight 01 December 2011, after which the winning name will be drawn at random. Entries will be accepted from Sport Diver subscribers excluding employees and relatives of Sportif Dive or Sport Diver Group. Multiple entries will be disqualified. The prize is subject to availability and can only be used to travel between 01st December and 19th December 2011 and 01st May and returning before 20th October 2012 and excluding peak holiday dates (February, Easter & period 15th July to 20th August 2011 inclusive). To participate in the dive pack offered you will be required to produce your diving qualification card (minimum PADI Open Water or equivalent) and full diving insurance to both dives centres in Tobago.  The prize is non-transferable and no cash equivalent will be given.
