El Quseir Dive Club - El Quseir, Red Sea and Middle East

The Dive Centre and accommodation in El Quseir offers shore diving sites, boat excursions to off shore reefs and much more. The camps house reef is Abu Sauatir, this is one of the region’s best dive site with easy access and a sand canyon leading out to the sloping sandy bay. The centre is a BSAC affiliated and  PADI 5 star IDC Centre and offers courses from beginner to Dive Master with children’s courses available.

Location
The dive centre is located at Roots Camp, based approximately 15km north of the traditional town of El Quseir. The Roots Luxury Camp is around 1 hour 45 mins drive from Hurghada Airport and around a 1 hour drive from Marsa Alam Airport. Facilities & Services
The centre is fully equipped and has a dedicated classroom to allow diver training from beginner through to instructor level. There is also a Bauer Compressor with pure air certification, first aid and Oxygen all on-site. The main base is at Roots Camp but on the beach there is a second base where daily operations are handled. A beach cafe serving lunch, snacks and hot and cold drinks where you can enjoy sun loungers, parasols, toilet facilities and a Bedouin tent are also here. There is a range of equipment which is available to rent.

Diving
El Quseir has the reputation of providing some of the very best shore based diving in the Egyptian Red Sea. There are more than 50 dive sites within 45 minutes travel to explore by shore entry or zodiac. Diving is 1 or 2 guided dives in the morning, return for lunch and extra dives on the house reef in the afternoon. There are numerous pristine coral gardens, challenging wall dives, off shore ergs, sea grass meadows, cavern systems and resident pod of dolphins. There is also the opportunity of an excursion to visit renowned sites such as Elphinstone, Salem Express and Abu Dabab. 

House Reef & Shore Diving
The house reef is accessible for all levels of diver* by a short walk across the beach, from the changing centre with a gentle sloping entry to chest deep water. Shore dive sites are accessible by air conditioned mini bus, driving north or south to meet up with the equipment truck on the beach with all equipment laid out and ready on arrival for divers.

Boat Diving
The centre offers a 6m zodiac for 6 divers which is accessible at the local dock (travel by minibus). Kitting up is at the dock and the boat returns to the dock between dives. A 12m hard boat for 10 divers, available for groups. Outside shore diving is by bus transfer and day hard boat diving or excursions. Larger boats are available by arrangement before arrival. Night diving is available on request the previous day, with no minimum numbers. *A minimum of 25 logged dives, a buddy and orientation dives is mandatory. Otherwise guided dive packages are available at a supplement.

Dive Courses
 BSAC Ocean Diver, Sport Diver, Dive Leader and SDC Modules.

PADI dive courses available include Discover Scuba, Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Divemaster and Dive Instructor. Courses should be requested and booked in advance to ensure availability.

Dive Packages

PLEASE NOTE
Red Sea diving packages - A government tax fee of minimum 3.00 Euro, per diver per diving day and per snorkel per day on board of a boat, is payable locally on arrival before diving/snorkelling can commence. All rental equipment must be booked and confirmed in advanced with additional payment to your diving package. Please bring your passport along with you for Red Sea boat diving to present to the Captain of the dive boat, as per local Government regulations. Lunch on day boat dives is not included and payable locally. The above fees can change without notice and will be confirmed at the dive centre on arrival.
