Dive Centre Mexico - Mexico, Central America

The PADI 5* diving centre in Mexico is located in-house at the Scuba Club Cozumel. A dive resort built by divers for divers with shore diving, day boat diving  at the Cozumel National Marine park and range of PADI courses.

Location
Located at the Scuba Club Cozumel Resort >, one mile from the ferry dock on the waterfront. The diving centre has 2 jetty's for access to dive boats and the shore diving in front of the resort.

Facilities
At the centre there is an air filling station with 4 compressors and a 4 stage filtering system, a full line of rental gear and a basic repair shop. The fleet of 7 customised dive boats are available to take diver to the dive site. Dive gear lockers and freshwater rinsing tubs are located close to the docks next to the dive centre on the opposite end of the beach next to the pool. A range of dive equipment is available to rent including BC jackets, regulator anddive computers. We recommend you book before arrivingto ensure the equipment you require is available.Thereis a small shop selling some equipment, souvenirs and t-shirts.

Diving
The dive boats are of different sizes and can accommodate between 8 to 20 divers. The boats are equipped with dive platforms and deep ladders, marine radios, oxygen and first aid trained crew leaving around 8.30am, local conditions permitting. The boat normally arrives back in time for lunch around 1.00pm. An afternoon one tank wreck dive is scheduled for the nearby WWII US mine sweeper, Felipe Xicotencate on Tormentos Reef. Twilight two tank boat dive trips areavailable approximately 1 hour before sunset. One tanknight dives are usually scheduled Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday or on request (minimum 6 divers). Shore night diving is available directly in front of theresort.There is an additional cost for Wreck, Twilight and night boat dives. Unlimited shore diving is accessible from the resort and you can check out tanks from 8:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. The Dive Center opens at around 8:00am and closes at around 6:00 p.m. daily. The shore diving is right offshore from the resort with the chance to see many reef fish, lobsters, crab, octopus and the occasional seahorse.

Dive Courses
This PADI 5* Dive Resort offers PADI certification to Divemaster, speciality courses and Nitrox Certification in the air conditioned classroom. Courses available include Discover Scuba Diving, a 1 hour orientation dive, Scuba Review, Open Water, Referral, Adventure, Advanced and Master Scuba Diver. Speciality courses such as Wreck Diver, Rescue Diver and Peak Performance Bouyancy are usually scheduled for the afternoon so you can go boat diving in the morning.
