Bali Dive Centre Siddartha - Bali, S E Asia & Australia
The Siddartha Dive and Spa Resort in Bali offers PADI, SSI & CMAS instruction courses and is location 50m from the shore front, within the in the small village of Kubu on the north-east Bali coast. As well as offering daily boat diving excursions, there is an excellent house reef perfect for all levels & photographers.
Location
The centre is 50m from beach where the entry point to the house reef. The dive centre provides areas for kiting up, rinsing and storing equipment. A full service is available to get your equipment ready and carry it to the beach and back again after your dives, maximising your time relaxing in between diving.
Facilities
A wide range of equipment from leading manufacturers including 2 digital underwater cameras is available to hire. The centre has approximately 92 aluminium tanks (12 litre, DIN + INT) plus around 8 x 15 litre tanks filled from a Bauer compressor. Nitrox is available free of charge. The dive boats and cars used for diving excursions around the island are equipped with oxygen, emergency first aid kit and a mobile phone. A doctor, who specialises in diving medicine and who supervises the decompression chamber, is based in Denpasar. The staff load, wash and take care of all the equipment before are after the dives.
Diving
There is the choice from shore diving off the beach and a large variety of boat diving sites. The centre has one 10m dive boat accommodating up to 10 guests. A good number of local dive spots can be reached by boat or car from 5 to 20 minutes. Boat dive excursions locally to Kuba and Tulamben usually leave at 08:30am and 13:30am. Most of the famous dive sites of Bali can be reached from Siddartha with Lovina in the north, Nusa Menjangan and Secret Bay in the west approximately 4-5 hours away. The dive sites of Padangbai and Nusa Penina in the south east are within 1.5-2 hours drive and Amed approximately 45 minutes. Full day excursions offer 2 dives to Padangbai, Nusa Peninda and Amed leaving between 06:30 and 08:30 returning between 15:00 and 17:00 depending on the location. Dive Courses
Dive courses generally take between 3-4 days. Most mornings and afternoons are spent in the water in small groups with your instructor with theory elements taking approximately 6 hours between 5.30 and 7.30pm on consecutive days. After passing the required assessments, you will receive an internationally recognised SSI Open Water Diver certificate. SSI Advanced, DiveCon, CMAS Gold and PADI Divemaster are available on request for experienced divers along with the majority of specialist courses.

Courses include loan of equipment and text books. Nitrox, Open & advanced OW courses have an additional certification fee of around €38.50 which is payable locally. The centre also offers 1 hour try dive session, in shallow water, on the house reef. PADI courses are available for which you are required to buy the official course book plus a certification fee of €50, which is payable locally.
Dive Packages
Dive packages include tank & weights and porter. Day trips also include lunch box, soft drinks & water. Dives are by private mini bus or boat transfer. From mid January to mid March the boat will be in dry dock so dive excursions are offered by mini bus during this period. A local charge of €0.66 per tank is payable locally.
