Thailand, Far East & Australia
Thailand offers scuba diving holidays with clear water diving conditions and sandy beaches as far as the eye can see. Sportif recommend two diving locations, Khao Lak on the west Thailand coast and Phuket island, just 900 km south of Bangkok and easily reached by a short flight from the mainland. Khao Lak, on the west coast of Thailand’s mainland, is located an hour's drive from Phuket International Airport. Mile long white sandy beaches stretch as far as the eye can see. We have a choice of divers resorts with options for Thailand liveaboard extensions at the beginning or end.
Diving
Phuket's dive sites depths average between 18 to 30m and suit novice to the more experienced recreation diver. Explore drop-offs, small caves and wrecks as well as interesting rock formations and coral landscapes. The marine life of the Andaman Sea is very versatile with many varieties of tropical fish and rare species of sea horse and ghost pipe fish. Leopard sharks are frequently sighted and sometimes a manta is spotted.
