Location
Located in the North of Mauritius, Casuarina Resort and Spa is located approximately 5 minutes walk away from the private beach. Set on the north west coast of Mauritius, it is approximately 75km around 1 and 1/4 hours drive from the airport.

Accommodation
Casuarina Resort and Spa is made up of 94 rooms and 15 bungalows, situated in tropical gardens just back from the beach. The rooms have a TV with satellite channels, tea and coffee making facilities a desk, an adapter on request and a bathroom with a shower. The room categories include:

Deluxe Room (approx. 37- 39m²) rooms accommodate 2-3 persons with a queen size bed. The rooms overlook the lagoon and have a private terrace or balcony. It is possible to add an extra bed for a third person.

Privilege Room (approx. 37-39m²) rooms accommodate 2-3 persons with a queen size bed. The rooms have a private terrace or balcony and face the garden and pond with views of the water fountain and partial sea views. Inter-connecting rooms are available on request in advance and it is possible to add an extra bed for a third person.

Superior Room (approx. 37-39m²) rooms accommodate 2-3 persons with a double bed. The rooms overlook the garden and have a private terrace or balcony.  Inter-connecting rooms are available on request in advance and it is possible to add an extra bed for a third person.

Family Cottage/Bungalow (approx. 59m²) and can accommodate up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 4 children under 12 years. The cottages consist of two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and another with two bunk beds, a kitchenette, living room and dining area.

Facilities
The hotel has three restaurants. La Boucanier is the main restaurant and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving local and international cuisine in a buffet and live cooking stations on all inclusive basis. Breakfast is from 07:30 to 10:00, Lunch from12:00 to 14:30 and Dinner from 19:30 to 22:00pm. Times are subject to variation locally. The restaurant over looks the bay of Trou Aux Biches and is designed with a traditional thatched roof pavilion and decorated with traditional wooden furniture. The Fingers Restaurant is located near the Oasis Bar and by the pool which services light food and snacks throughout the day. It is open from 14:00 to 17:00pm for snacks and from 18:30 to 20:30pm for evening drinks  The Tree Top restaurant is an a la carte restaurant offering dining for 30 guest, is open 3 times a week, with reservation in advance, and atmospheric back drop of the swimming pool. It is open from 19:30 to 22:00pm. The Oasis bar is open throughout the day and evening, serving a variety of drinks. The hotel has an on site spa offering a range of treatments, a relaxation pool, lounge, steam bath and beauty room. The hotel has two swimming pools, a jacuzzi integrated in the pool, sun loungers, a fitness gym, tennis courts, games room and kids club. A range of complimentary watersports are available are a free water ski, glass bottom rides (twice per day, 10:30 and 14:30), snorkeling, kayak, pedal and hobby cat. located at the beach,approximately a 5 minute walk away at the Casuarina boat house. The boat house is opened every day from 09:00am to 16:30pm.

Kid’s Club The Casuarina kid’s club welcome children from 3 to 11 years old, free of charge and opened daily from 09:00 to 16:00pm.  The kid’s club is equipped with a small playground and indoor facilities with books, drawing, colouring, face painting, sega dancing and fun games. During the day, the children can have lunch at the kid’s club or restaurant thanks to a special menu prepared by the Chef. A babysitting facility is available with supplement for younger children, under 3 years or after 16:00pm, upon request at a fee arranged and payable locally.

Our Opinion
A great value hotel with scuba diving centre close by and good accommodation options for families.
