Reethi Beach Dive Centre - Maldives, Indian Ocean

The Reethi Beach Dive Centre is based on the luxury Reethi Beach Resort in Baa Atoll, Maldives. A PADI 5 star dive centre with multi-lingual instructors. PADI courses available for beginner and experienced divers to Divemaster level.

Facilities & Services
Located on Reethi Beach Resort the only 4 Star Resort in the Unesco Biosphere Reserve BAA ATOLL. This Swiss owned centre, established in 1998, have been instrumental in diving conservation here with special measures in place for diving the Bay of Haniafaru to protect the manta rays and whale shark. Boat diving is from 3 diving dhonis offering dovered seating to and from the dive sites. The centre offers a tank delivery service to entry and exit points for house reef diving. Chanel buoy markers are used at both high and low tide for safety. Nitrox is available Free of charge (with relevant qualification). Snorkelling tours on the house reef are free of charge.

Diving
Baa Atoll diving is one of the best areas in the Maldives. There is a choice of house reef or boat diving. Night dives are offered twice a week. 

The house reef is divinded into the East and West Side. The house reef on the east side offers the chance to see lobster, crab, shrimp, octopus and moray eels. Visiting sting ray and guitar sharks are often seen close to the shore. The house reef on the west side has a channel stretches the lenght of the island with passing dolphin, eagle rays and barracudas as well as shoals of mackeral, batfish and fusiliers. From May to October there are sightings of manta ray and whale shark here which can be seen by both divers and snorkelers.

Boat diving The majority of boat dives are within 20 minutes of the island with 30 different dive spots including shallow reef, outer reefs, unihabited islands reefs,. Around 10 shallow reef sites range from 3m to 23m with soft and hard coral, overhangs, canyons, sea fan and black coral. See large grouper, barracuda, napoleon wrasse and Mantas (in season). The more experieced will enjoy sites with swim throughs, troughs and caves and Atoll reef canyon sites where schools of juvenile reef shark are seen.

Dive Courses
PADI OW and Referral courses include use of equipment. Advance OW courses only include Tanks & Weights. Trial dives, Intro to snorkeling, Discover Scuba Diving, Junior and Bubblemaker Courses and Refresher courses (1 dive) are available.

Certification and course materials are included for Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses. No manual is included in the Referral or Upgrade to Open Water diver.


Dive Packages
Dives are available as single dives. In addition, night dives, 2 tank trips and full day trips are available by arrangement locally. Snorkelling excursions are also available.

All dives include tank/weights. Non-limit is consecutive days diving for experienced divers only. Non limited diving is available for diving with less than 40 dives with a surcharge. Boat trips are not included and payable locally (approximately US$16.00 per person per trip).
