CAPE VERDES - GUIDE TO DIVING ON SAL ISLAND

Cape Verdes offers a range of dive sites from Sal Island just 6 hours flight from the UK. With year round diving you can dive from beautiful Santa Maria beach. There are over 60 endemic species with mix of diversified sites with overhangs, drop offs, caves, wreck plus protected turtle, shark, rays, barracuda, lobster, nudibranch even occasional manta and whale shark.

For your scuba diving holiday to Sal in the Cape Verdes, the Odjo d'Agua hotel has 50 airconditioned rooms set overlooking a private beach.

Location
Located in Santa Maria, the hotel is approximately a 15 minute transfer from the airport and a couple of minutes walk to the town centre.

Accommodation
The hotel has 50 rooms, all equipped with air-conditioning, bathrooms with hot and cold water, bath tub, hairdryer, closet, TV with 7 channels, telephone, mini fridge. The feature of the hotel is a private terrace of which is part on the bay.

There are 3 accommodation options: Double rooms with 2 spacious beds, Small Suites with an additional room, which can be used as sofa beds both for children and teenagers and Suites with 2 king size beds and lounge.

Facilities
The hotel has a traditional restaurant and terrace to enjoy the sea views. The Farolin restaurant specialises in fresh fish, seafood and other traditional dishes. The main feature of the restaurant is the superb view over the sea and an excellent place for an aperitif before a meal. Situated on the beach, the Sambinha Bar specialises in tropical juices and ice creams along with other refreshments and snacks. During the evening, you can experience the Cape Verdean night life in the centre of the village of Santa Maria which is less than 5 minutes away. There is a freshwater swimming pool which is surrounded by tropical vegetation. The Alma Spa which provides many treatments including Chinese, relaxing, deep and foot massages, massage modulator, aromatherapy, facial, SPA hands and feet, manicure and pedicure and braids.
