Australia and the Far East is home to some of the world’s most exciting and sought after scuba diving and perfect diving holiday locations. Visit sites that haven’t changed since the dawn of diving to glide along some of the most picturesque and impressive walls and distant coral seas - dive holidays dreams are made of.

Visit one of the seven wonders of the world – The Great Barrier Reef which runs some 2000 miles along the north western coast of Australia. From here you can explore the Coral Sea, visit the famous Cod Hole and dive with Minke whales. The excellent Mike Ball Liveaboards offer a range of intineraries and you can extend your holiday with a tour of Australia's sites.

Manado and Wakatobi off the north and south east of Sulawesi in Indonesia. Manado's Bunaken Marine park is within 30 minutes of the authentic and unassuming accomodation. Wakatobi offers the best of luxury accommodation & liveaboards. Both are world class diving locations. Photographers will enjoy diving in Lembeh where there are specialist led diving weeks for underwater photographers with excellent quality facilities for your equipment.

Layang, Layang off the coast of Saba is largely unexplored with 50m visibility and famous for hammerheads. This reclaimed 50 acre island offers spectacular wall diving plus giant mantas and morays.

Offering excellent value in the Far East is in the Philippines with some of the best diving in all asia. dive sites. It has the widest choice of dive sites from deep dives, drift dives, wreck sites and many more. Our latest edition to the programme is our choice of liveaboard to Sipadan, Borneo, Raja Ampat and Komodo and the Coral Triangle. See 1000s of schooling pelagics, visit world class muck, reef and wall dive sites - some of the best in the world. Bali and, Thailand ideal for critters,  leisurely diving, stunning beaches and perfect for non-divers too.


Philippines Azores Liveaboard - Philippines, Far East & Australia

For your diving & liveaboard holiday to the Philippines, Atlantis Azores is a luxury 107ft liveaboard with 8 cabins carrying up to 16 passengers with air conditioning and private facilities off the lower deck.

Accommodation
The Azores includes seven deluxe staterooms with double and single berths; all situated below decks with hairdryer, private toilet and shower. There is an additional Suite, larger and located on the upper deck with a double and single berth. There is a desk, large picture windows and extensive storage space.

Facilities
The salon is fully air-conditioned with an entertainment centre, including a flat screen TV with a wide selection of movies, as well as an assortment of books, cards and board games. Each evening you will be treated to either one of Atlantis’ unique marine life presentations, a presentation for your next destination or a picture slide show.

The onboard chef provides freshly prepared meals with a snack and drinks bar open all day. Drinks are complimentary including a Keurig coffee brewing station, soft drinks, beer, wine and local rum. You are also welcome to bring your own beverages on board with no corkage fee.

The Azores has a partially covered sun deck with chaise lounges, wet bar, hot tub, different seating areas and a large swim platform with warm freshwater showers. Essential dive equipment such as signal tubes, whistles and flashlights, as well as accessories and souvenirs are available from the shop. Internet and Cell Phone coverage is possible on some trips. Onboard safety equipment including a first aid kit, defibrillator and D.A.N. oxygen system are fitted as standard.

Diving
There is a spacious dive deck with personal storage area for dive equipment, fresh hot water showers on back platform and a three-tier camera table available for photographers along with a charging station. Air/Nitrox fills available.

Schedule itineraries usually include up to 5 dives a day (including a night dive) from two Zodiac tender boats. The Azores offers a full range of PADI courses; popular specialties such as Nitrox, Underwater Photography & Naturalist can be easily completed around the dive schedule. Technical diving and Rebreather diving is possible if pre-arranged.

Sample Itineraries

Tubbataha Reef (6 day dive schedule)
Located in the Sulu Sea, at the centre of the Coral Triangle between Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. A remote, marine preserve, made up of the North & South reefs each of which enclose a sandy lagoon. One of Asia's best diving spots. Home to 573 species of fish, 373 species of corals, 11 species of sharks, 12 species of dolphins and whales, nestling hawksbill and green sea turtle.

Bohol (6 day dive schedule)
Cruise The Visayas, one of the three island groups in the Philippines; enjoy six fabulous days diving from the Atlantis Azores around one of the most beautiful and bio-diverse regions in Asia. Dive sites include Sumilon, Cabilao, Balicasag Island, Panglao Island, Pamilican Island and Siquijor depending on local londitions. Land Excursions: Mid week explore Bohol's most famous sites - The Chocolate Hills, the Tarsiers, a small primate and butterfly farm, or explore the 1.5km coral white sands of Alona Beach. A special Malapascua “Thresher Shark Trip” is also offered from the Atlantis Dumaguete resort.

Apo Reef & Wrecks of Coron (6 day dive schedule)
A new and exciting liveaboard itinerary this is truly a dive trip to remember, diving on the 34 mile long Apo Reef system as well as exploring WWII wrecks in Coron Bay. You can expect to see hawksbill turtles, bumphead parrot fish, white tip sharks, spotted eagle rays and an abundance of macro life.

Malapascua – Cebu (9 day dive schedule)
For those who wish to dive a wide variety of locations as well as experiencing world class diving, this itinerary is hard to beat. The charter will take you to many of the premier dive sites the Philippines has to offer, including Pescador Island, Sumilon Island and Malapascua’s Gato Island, home to a sea crate protected breeding sanctuary. The charter also takes in Monad Shoal, well known for frequent sightings of Thresher Sharks as well as Manta Rays. In addition to the larger pelagics, there is also an incredible variety of smaller rare critters to see. Bohol, Apo Island, Calanggaman Island can also be dived, with land tours available for those inclined. The dramatic walls of Balicasag provide a grand finale to a highly memorable trip.
