Khao Lak Dive Centre - Thailand, Far East & Australia
Khao Lak Dive Centre is onsite at the Palm Garden Resort. The Similan Islands are visited six times a week and Koh Bon once weekly. These sites are rated amongst the “Top Ten” dive destinations in the world.
In addition, the dive boats can take you on a regular basis to Boonsung Wreck and Richelieu Rock.
Location
The dive centre is located just 300m from the Palm Garden Resort.
Facilities and Service
Sea Bee operates two Boats, the MV Excalibur II and the MV Aragon for daily and overnight liveaboard diving.
The 23m MV Excalibur II is used for day boat diving. It has two decks, equipment room for storing and drying your equipment. The dive deck gives each diver their own area with two filled tanks and a box to store your dive gear below the benches, space to hang your wetsuit to dry and freshwater tanks for rinsing equipment, two shower cubicles and a western-style WC with sink. The diving platform gives easy access in and out of the water with a fresh water shower.The upper deck has an indoor salon, sockets to power up your torches and Thai breakfast and lunches are freshly prepared by the onboard cook .
The MV Aragon provides daily boat diving around Phuket Island, as well as short over night trips to the Southern Thailand area.The lower deck has a sleeping room with 12 bunk beds, divided in 6 compartments, bar and galley. There are two sun decks with shaded areas, four showers and two WCs, medic first aid plus 50 litre oxygen cylinder.
Diving
A range of PADI and SSI courses are available at the centre including Intro diver, Refererral, Open Water and Advanced courses. Junior Open Water is available for ages 10-15 years to a maximum depth of 12 meters.
Dive Courses
Courses include use of equipment, course materials, and necessary boat trips. Certification fee and material are in additional and paid locally.
Speciality Courses: Boat diving, Computer Diving, Deep Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox*, Equipment Techniques, Navigation, Perfect Bouyancy, Night & Limited Visibility, Search & Recovery, Underwater Photography, Waves, Tides & Currents and Wreck Diving, Rescue Diver and Nitrox Course (Nitrox manuals and certification are charged locally).
